Radical RXC Coupe introduced at Autosport International 2013

Radical has unveiled the Xtreme Coupe at the Autosport International 2013 show in Birmingham.

The RXC makes use of a V6 3.7-liter made by Ford producing 380 hp (283 kW) at 6,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 320 lb-ft (433 Nm) at 4,250 rpm. Power is sent to rear wheels through a 7-speed Quaife gearbox featuring paddle shifters.

With a power-to-weight ratio of 422 hp / ton, the RXC can sprint to 62 mph (100 km/h) in only 2.8 seconds. It is Radical's largest car ever as it measures 4300mm long, 1960mm wide and 1127mm tall. It has an FIA-spec tubular spaceframe and many parts built from composite materials, while the huge carbon fiber rear wing enables the RXC to generate 900 kg (1,984 lbs) of downforce at 175 mph (281 km/h).

Stopping the car are 6-piston calipers with 330mm discs at the front and 310mm discs for the rear axle, while carbon-ceramic discs will be optionally available. Other highlights include gullwing doors, 17-inch wheels, heated front windscreen, air conditioning, power steering as well as an adjustable steering wheel and pedal box.
