Thanks, I must say I'm super excited about the next phase of the Mini. I hope the straight cut box is all I hope it to be. I know the Reiger suspension will be good.

The Reiger bushes showed up today. I still lack the Peugeot synchro rings and C clips but I hope they show up before I leave. The gearbox will be a mix of Mini and Peugeot so I'm now exactly sure this Hybrid will work.

One thing I've noticed is shifting fast is not an option! Even selecting reverse requires a 2 second delay to wait for everything to stop spinning. Power through the gears is way too much fun, when did an R50 owner get a kick in the seat on shifting?
Another interesting thing is the gearbox temperature has dropped by 15F I have the outside air temp sensor mounted on the gearbox casing which recorded 121F with the normal gear set.
With 1 1/2 " more ride height at the rear the Mini is on rails around the corners. Now I'm thinking to buy King springs for up front at 20% stiffer.-

You might want to push some fuel up the system with pressure and not into your engine, that stuff looks mighty sweet.
Also, skip that station next time.
Hope you get it all sorted out for the next event.-

Awww thanks Modfather, there are some good stories shared in MA. You taught me what a rat rod is!
Once again the Mini said "no I'm not running" the saga continues.-

I'm not cracking the Champagne just yet but today the engine ran for the first time since july without the misfire. As mentioned in http://www.motoringalliance.com/forums/cooper/25493-urgent-help-needed-27.html I pulled the plug off the Tmap and the engine ran fine. This is very good news but also frustrating because I replaced the Tmap with a new one so maybe the engine harness I replaced was bad? or there is a leak some place?
Good news is I'm getting close!-

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah After 4 months and enough money spent to buy another used R50 I'm getting to the point of looking to go back to Subaru. I've owned around 40 cars and 5 rally cars and the Mini takes the number 1 spot as the worse car I've ever owned. For the amount of money spent already I could have been running an STI or EVO and winning rallies with a reliable car. The Mini has class, style and when running is a blast to drive but I'm getting to the point of enough is enough. Even the 1989 Suzuki GTI was more reliable!

Sorry to hear that the problems are still continuing Chris. [emoji20] A Subi would be a better option for rallying though. The MINI was never really meant to be a rally car, but you gave it one heck of a good effort! [emoji2]

Hi Alex, the STI rear shocks proved to be the reason the Mini rolled but that was because I used stock 2013 shocks. The travel was ok because I had about 1 1/2 inch extra ride height. I dare say that some good gravel STI struts would be up to the job. In the end I went with Reiger which seems to work much better.

Alex is a rally chap from Canada who plans to build a rally Mini Cooper S. Looking forward to seeing how that goes.
