Very nice Chris. I like the work bench bolted to the hatch. The crew can use it for storing tools, you can use it as a picnic bench & it may work as an aero device. Now that's some good multitasking.

True Story: About three years back, one of the Mazda series national winners was disqualified for an illegal weld. It gave absolutely no performance advantage, but the second place car called him out on it after going over his car looking for anything. There are rules, and then there is the spirit of the rules....I hope dude who wound up with the trophy dropped it on his foot. Such douchebaggery...

Hey Chris, can I use that top photo on FB to get a rise out of a few folks with big wings on things that should not have a wing. :)

nope, I'm too busy writing on the forums...hahaha I dropped into Hendricks's Mini Charlotte NC for my 37 duffle bag and chatted to a nice young man Alex who is a racer. He had not heard of MA, Bloody hell a Mini guy not knowing MA! So I showed him MA and of course the Project car section. I left him searching MA...job done. Thanks Alex sign up to MA.

BTW I rented a Kia Rio in mustard colour! pretty crappy car. zzzzzzzzzzzz auto sucks and using +/- shifting is a little beter. My Accent is much better.

MCS02 you should jump off that plane in July, I hope the first rally will run then. Good to hear you're enjoying WRC+ so far I've not had any streaming issues so I figure they fixed the bug

I hope so! I've just ordered some King springs for the front struts from a rally buddy, they are about 30% stiffer seeing as I'm not exactly sure what spring rate I currently have up front.

I always think things happen for a reason. Battery died today! lucky it was not on the rally. Looking to get an optima yellow top if I can get a good price.

Yes It has been quite a year. I remember having a rough running engine with the Legacy back in 2006 but the process to find the problem without a scan tool was much easier. Turned out to be the MAF, swapped it and bingo it was fine. A misfire on the Swift took some finding but turned out to be the distributor module. That's the issue with rally cars, the electrics get shook to death and finding the issue is a nightmare. I know the issue is simple but with the Mini having so many sensors replacing them has been expensive.

Ah the days of distributors, double webers and simple electrics.

I'm trying to be positive and hopefully I'll find the issue but the past few months have drained me.

Given all your problems this one should be the least concerning since you are a wizard with the taking apart and reassembling the Midlands transmission.

Keep plug'n or is that seeking the elusive mis-fire. :)

I hope 2016 is a clean and fun year for you and the Rally MINI.

Well that's 2015 over down in CR for me! the Mini won this year but I'm still confident the engine will run again. While I'm in the US the battery be sent off for a testing and I'll be bringing a new alternator with me in Jan.

I'm not sure you will have enough room to remove the plugs once that wide boxer engine is strapped down in the MINI's engine room. Maybe cut some access holes in the strut towers. ;)
