Look Rally I am not a fan of the West Coast bumper dragging low riders or any of the other poser "stance" looking cars. I am also a member of m|u and I have seen all those cars and read all the threads and know exactly what I am talking about.

I like the look of your new classic mini, good luck with it.

Fyi ~ I saw your brown Clubbie when I meet you and talked with you and Chase at the Dragon when you had the Audi wheels on it a few years back. Hey to each there own.

What, I can't read any of the threads you might also read......sheesh. I can have my own opinion too.

 

This is inevitable, I will hope against it, but going by what that crowd is about.

 

I don't give a rat's @$$ about ice cream flavors.
Rally - you know what got me against the whole stance/ poke / stretch scene years ago.

1 - People insisting that poke / stretch has ZERO effect on performance driving.

2 - The fact that people trash non stanced / poked stretched cars - this started back when the 'stanced' scene was in its infancy.

3 - The fact that 'stanced' crowd considered themselves auto enthusiasts and performance people - really! - What in fact they are is "show car enthusiasts". While I agree that stanced and stretched / poke tire cars have a place - it is not in the performance world.

It doesn't NEED any work per se, but it could definitely use a good refreshing. It's a straight body and it runs decently, but I've taken it on knowing it'll be a project. I'll be refreshing the suspension, subframes, and brakes at first to get it back in shape, and then things like interior upholstery and some minor rust spots under the car will be restored. Whether it's a 1275 or a rebuild on the 998, I'll eventually do something to quicken it a bit as well.

The end goal is to restore it to a fairly clean driver level with improvements made to the performance aspects.
