I'll give him credit, he did not give up. He was trying for all he was worth to drive that car out of the ditch. Unfortunately it was not to be. Glad the crew was alright.
They are not out to win or gain points this season The drivers are doing just what is expected of them. They are pushing the car way above the limits. This needs to be done to insure a winning Mini WRC car in 2012. The specialists will use the data from this to improve on the suspension Etc. I do not like to see these crashes but it is just part of the challenge. I'm just happy that there was no injuries. I think the Mini is going to be a big contender in 2012. :beer
Exactly, if you don't push the limits you'll never learn how to extend them. ......of course if you Just blast past the limits and crash all the time you don't learn very much either.....
I thought the same thing. Looked like he was trying to save it and almost did. Not sure I would have had the guts to hit the gas like that and go for the save. :nonod: Jim
Well the way I see it is you can either crash or try like heck not to. He was trying like heck for sure. Many times these cars are so close to crashing, but the drives skill pulls them through. The drivers of those rally cars have brass donuts, if you get my drift.... :wink:
