Hey WAY I got my pads from YOU and they failed. I know how to bed in pads I am not an idiot.

I had to go through EBC to get warranty replacements for the pads I got from WMW and they failed also.

My point still stands EBC SUX.

    Hello,

I just registered to say that I too have EBC brake pads and failed by separating themselves from the metal part on both sides on front wheels (the inner part on both sides) and thankfully I did not have to do an emergency brake or brake hard on the highway!

The pads were EBC red stuff and had very very very very light use, no abuse at all. They failed after around 1year and half.

Below I add the pictures, my car is not a MINI, a Smart Roadster but it does not matter really, I just found this topic on the net and wanted to warn that this is not a reliable product! Please check your brake pads people.

Really makes me wonder if EBC had bad batch of adhesive or something. I have now heard of reds, yellows & greens coming apart.

While I continually am forced to learn life lessons I have discovered that no matter how closely I hold and embrace my anger it is not my friend. The natural consequences of defining ones self with anger is the expression of mean spirit, vengeance, contrariness, arrogance and control. To exercise these characteristics is to be an extremely inappropriate role model. When a member with a status like Lifetime Member acts out it most certainly reflects poorly on the MA Fourm. I can only encourage all lovers of anger to let it go....

Unfortunately Dave is MA's version of the poison pill..........no known cure and highly toxic.

A post that was just to over the top has been removed.

Again, lets leave personal opinions of others aside, not skewer them for a difference of opinion.

Never use a hammer when a feather will do the job. Even if it's one of those lightweight hammers with a fiberglass handle.

I have EBC Greens on my R50 and Reds on my R53. I've never had a problem with either and the Greens have been on the R50 for the last 40k with minimal wear. The Reds have been on the R53 the last 2 years...daily driver, weekend track car, Dragonslayer. I like the brand and will continue buying.

Some people have had issues...I have not. Some people have become pretty vociferous on here about their displeasure with EBC. Again, I drive my R53 hard when I am at Mid Ohio, Putnam Park [IN], and on the roads around the Dragon. The R50 has been to Putnam Park and the Dragon. I don't know how hard the complainers drive their cars to make their pads fail, but, I find it hard to fault the pads I have because of the complaints. I keep the fluids changed and have s/s brakelines in each car.

Perhaps the complainers should get pads that are more compliant with their driving styles, instead.

Just my 2c on what has become a touchy issue.
