    Keyless entry

    R53 has remote lock/unlock keys as standard. If your R53 didn't come with any remote keys, a replacement can be purchased from the dealer for $200-$300.

    I usually think of the term "keyless entry" as referring to a system like MINI's comfort acesss, where you can leave the key in your pocket, and open the door without touching the key or taking it out. That wasn't available in the R53. It is an option in newer models.

    While I have your attention I'd also like to ask if keyless entry was a standard feature on the r53? And if it was not how much of a hassle and what do you need to add it? Tired of using my key every time

    I think they offer a one piece LED replacement for the interior dome light, I'm sure someone else will be along to offer more on that. The keyless entry was not available on the R53 so you'll just have to keep using the key like the rest of us :)

    If anyone has an all noninclusive kit with all the needed bulbs it would OutMotoring. I'd give Aaron a call.

    Not sure about the previous answer but keyless entry was standard on my 2003 MINI Cooper S.

    For anyone who is wondering the rear boot light is the same size as the dome light!
