i have just gotten used to having a two seater with a "big" trunk

Same here -- I think of mine as a 2-seater -- but I wanted it to be easily reversible. On the other hand, I haven't put the seats back in once since I took them out something like four years ago, plus now I'd have to rip the guts out of my sound system to do it. Hmmm, guess it's time to give up on the reversible idea and pull the seat belt assembly. It's not like this MC is ever going back to stock anyway. Thanks for the reminder.

Square aluminum hollow tube works great by the way as a support. You can add as much as you want depending on the amount of strength you want, it's very light, it looks good, and it's easy to work with. -

Do you have something with instructions about how to remove the rear seats? Or maybe they've improved the instructions that come with the kit..... I remember relying more on my Bentley and Haynes manuals when I took mine out.
-
Finished the RSD install. Going to write or call the manufacturer as their instructions need serious help. They messed up the the instructions for removing the rear bench, I could have screwed the seat up. Other than that I am very happy with it so far.
I went ahead and removed the rear seat belts while I was at it. It was little bit of a pain but patience won.
I will post more on were the instructions were messed up later. -
yup i know when i was removing mine for the first time it was pretty tricky/frustrating
but every since it is really simple just a matter of getting it juuuuust right and it is good
same thing with installing rear pads without the special tool
first one - 15mins
second - 3mins lol -
greg
question on the Dynamat.
We're you able to install on the underside of the RSD? Issues? -
For an alternative to dynamat, look in the roofing secton of Home Depot, Lowes, etc. for a roll of 6 in foil backed roof sealer. I can't remember what it is called exactly, but it is slightly thinner than dynamat, but in essence the same thing and a fraction of the cost
-
Yes you can

Is that stuff like the original, mostly asphalt based Dynamat or like the lighter Dynamat Xtreme? The Xtreme stuff is still heavy but at least it's lighter than the other.

The instructions that came with my RSD from Shrader had a BIG error that could damage seat components. Here the issue:
The second bullet reads:
"Remove the 4 plastic child seat anchors by simply pulling on them."
This is WRONG. I pulled on one and it didn't budge, so I got a flashlight and looked inside to see what was holding it. On my 09 lower cushion the 4 plastic child seat anchors are clipped to the metal framing of the lower seat cushion. There is absolutely NO way to "simply pull them". In fact, you don't even need to touch them. Just follow the other instructions for removing the lower cushion, it is very easy.
Positive Update:
I contacted Moss (I got the RSD Kit from them) and Ken worked with Steve at Shrader to correct the instructions. Ken will be updating the info on their site and Shrader will be shipping the improved instructions.
