Jim,
Slide rule.... Hah, I don't use it.
I just take the answer and work backwards. Works for me.....![]()

I want to secure the front, center of the RSD floor board, but don't know what is under the hump right in front of the rear passenger foot wells. Anyone have a diagram for a 2nd Gen MC?

You'll want to use a self sealing self tapping screw.

Final changes to the RSD are again noted in post #70. This is much, much better. Not cheap, but it actually works.
BTW: Doughnut rack had to be special ordered. Local Speed Shop said there is not much call for them, but we found one that is NASCAR approved.

Final post in this saga:
Doing all I did to the under section of the seat made a huge difference, but there was still some, not a lot, but some remaining noise.
After adding the sound barrier, under the tool box, over the tool box and sliding a small piece under the small area of floor mat on each side of the panel covering the tool box, all noise is gone. There was more sound coming from the rear wheels and the exhaust than I had thought. The car is quieter then it has ever been, even with the seat in.
Even if you have not done an RSD, I highly recommend you address the small storage area of the boot. It can be done cheaply and will be well worth it.

Pulled my rear seat cause it's been used maybe 5 times in +3yrs and I tend to haul some pretty bizarre stuff occasionally. Considered that RSD kit, but turned it down. Too expensive and a pretty poor design IMHO. If you put anything on it, there's no easy way to secure it and if I remember right a MINI does tend to corner/brake rather briskly! Also, it actually deletes potential cargo capacity by being mounted so high. Went to an old fashioned auto carpet shop and the guy hand cut a piece of self forming carpet, edged it and slotted it for easy access to the seat and belt anchor points. The stuff is also a sound deadener. Had to change the F/R sound balance a little, but that's it. The cost was horrific: $50! And I saved 35-40lbs, too.
