Back in post #28, k-huevo shows the same thing. My concern is that the incline from the back to the front is steep, which limits the ability to place items on a level surface. I thought this would take away from how much I load back there, but just my 2 cents.

The MINI in post #28 is a R53. Mine's a R56 and that slope isn't as steep. I like it because it helps prevent stuff from hitting the seat backs when braking w/o tying them down.

The key thing is that it works for you and that is what counts. Mine is also an R56 and flat works better for me.

I have seen it up close and personal, and it is indeed a great looking job! With the carpet and the things carried under the deck the sound would be about the same as OEM noise.

    Good job Pat!

Now that is cool! A certified MINI Doughnut Food Truck. You could sell doughnuts when traffic turns into a parking lot :D

But to keep the Thread on track it must be sound dampened...

Seriously, the sound deadening topic is a real good one. I use the space BETWEEN the folded down seats to store things out of sight. It holds a surprising amount of goodies!
