I think this may be Europe only at this point but I'm sure some of our more intrepid folks can find a set and have them shipped over to the US. Love your MINI Cooper and its awesome British heritage. Your MINI might be sporting the stylish Union Jack on the roof but perhaps you need something to complement it in the interior. It’s a good thing Recaro is one step ahead of you, releasing their Union Jack seats that would most certainly meet with the approval of Austin Powers. The Union Jack seats are part of their Sportster CS series and are available through the Attractive4Mini program. And like all Recaro seats, these are made for comfort and support while providing plenty of protection. No pricing has been made available but they will be released to the public on September 18th. So stop sippin’ that tea and get to ordering yourself a pair of new seats.
I'm King Daddy UJ... and I think those are FUGLY. Now... if they had the proprietary Blimey Shadow Jack treatment... hmmmm.
Oh good, this should help me with the ugliest 2011 build thread In the right car (i.e. not one with the overdone UJ theme thing going on), those could probably be pulled off if a subtler, more downplayed pallete was used instead of just using the basic bright colors. Like this:
I was expecting it to be in the cloth/leather material.. Hope they are not charging tooooooo much for it!!
Then it is a basic Recaro CS model. Looks like the Union Jack version has an airbag module tacked on the side as well beyond the basic CS model. Being the CS retails for about $1500 I'd hate to think what these "minified" ones will cost.
Exactly! (OMG - Blimey and Rally agree on something aesthetic. lol) If you replace the white with black in Rally's rendition, that's the "Shadow Jack" theme I speak of. Although I'd go even more muted if possible. And that would rock in my car when I loose the back seat and factory roll hoops and put my real roll bar in.
When I worked in the Semi industry... I did a lot of applications support and production issues troubleshooting. Anyway, one couldn't say "You're a effin' idiot!" so I started using the more polite phrase "I'm sure that you realize that is a non-optimal deployment topology..." In that vane, these Recaros have a "non-optimal graphics application." Matt
