Just part of a MINI owners youifacation. Yep MINIs come with some pretty good brakes & some folks want better overkilled ones.
IMHO money spent on brake upgrades is not a waste of money.... Your mileage may vary.![]()

These last few track days (after fresh pads from MINI) I have noticed a bit of brake fade towards then ends of my sessions. I haven't had a spongy or soft pedal(related to the lines and fluid). I'm gonna swap out to new rotors and probably EBC pads once I'm out of my free service range. I'm sure that I will eventually get braided lines and swap up to more hardcore brake fluid once I no longer DD my MINI and it becomes the dedicated "toy".

But I don't want to be on the track worrying about my brakes. And say track miles are 10-20 times harsher on the car. I'm on my way to 4,000 track miles, so if that means the brake hoses have reached 40% of their life span, I'd probably want to make sure they were upgraded. -

I absolutely agree with upgrading brake components for track use, but the OP said they never do track or autoX, only sprited street driving......
