i cant imagine what cleaning the sensor would do. They are sacrificial, once triggered they must be replaced (or bypassed)

 

^^^ This, or are you sitting in your car with the e-brake on.

You can clean the brake pad sensors. One they trip you need to replace them. Think of them like fuses, once tripped you replace the pads and then the stupid sensor.

Soldering works well & won't fall apart. Wire nuts on a car is well nutz.

 

If possible I prefer heat shrink over taping.

 

I saw may brakes had these idiot sensors in 2008 and I cut them and soldered them together years ago. Little heat shrink and some 3M tape and they have been hidden ever since without any issues.

Cars don't need brake sensors for pads. People / owners need common sense on checking brake pads. :idea:

 

Mine were bypassed at the first pad change. Solder & some liquid tape, pretty neat stuff.

Check your fluid level. If the level is too low the float drops and turns on the brake light
