Not Rufus, but my wife got a new Audi A6 as her daily driver last December and I've been lax in getting it properly polished, treated and coated.

Wash, clay bar, wash, dry, polish, panel prep wipe-down, Gyeon MOHS x 2 (ceramic base coats), Gyeon Skin (ceramic top coat) on the outside. My favorite Zaino leather conditioner / Zaino rubber treatment inside with a thorough cleaning.

As frustrating as the internet can be for me, it’s also a great place to find to find obscure info. Nice job in getting all your equipment operational for your tour. Enjoy your drive.

On my R53 I had the Koni yellows. I would do the same just leave the rears set. Thanks for the link.

Ah... I did think that it was a bit quiet around here. I tune out on drama threads, so I must have missed the fun. He was full of great recommendations on Rufus' rebuild.

I didn't take a ton of photos this year. I ordered 2 from Killboy, but I haven't received the download link yet... should be soon.

My thanks to Mike McGill for the drone photo! This beautiful shot was a surprise he captured after the panoramic photo, I think. He forwarded it via Facebook after he got home.

Thursday morning Sunrise Drive... again on the Foothills Parkway, just a bit earlier than the top photo.

Usually when someone mentions getting a CEL and state inspection things do not turn out well for the owner. When we go for our E-Check inspection they have signs up stating not to turn your vehicle off while you wait and once you start your tests.

I feel for you guys who have to have emission testing. My county doesn't have it. Yet....

Are you running any kind of octane boost?

Generally no. I sometimes add some Lucas engine-treatment to the tank, but I haven't been driving the MINI (or even my daily driver) much since COVID and I don't know how it acts in the tank long-term, so I've been skipping it. Hell... during the more locked-down phases of life, I was adding Sta-Bil to our fuel tanks. My wife's car, which is our errand-running and road-trip car, was using a tank of gas every 3 months or so. I think my daily driver made it almost a year on one tank and I was having to try to remember to get it on the road every other week or so.

Would some octane booster help? The Lucas additive is more of a lubricant, from what I understand. Any thoughts?
