Being new to the world of convertibles, I have minimal experience, but it seems that wearing a hat when motoring would be a very good idea. I've been thinking over the possibilities and considering the requirements and limitations for a hat to be worn in the blustery environment of my Mini (which is now sitting dockside in Baltimore) and haven't come up with many ideas. I have a visceral dislike of baseball caps. But I also don't like "old man" flatcaps (e.g., Ivy caps). At least overthinking this question is giving me something to do while waiting for my Mini to arrive and helps resist the temptation to just drive to Baltimore (I could be there by lunchtime tomorrow) and fetch it off the pier directly. So, I'm curious: What do others wear on their heads when motoring in the open air? Are there any lessons to be learned from poor decisions that you'd like to pass along?
