As far as I know that part is not serviceable. I think you are going to end up replacing the whole thing. Don't run your car with the oil light on. You are shortening the engines life by doing so.

Too much oil on the air filter can also coat the MAF sensor fouling the unit and confusing the ecu..... -

Metalman your brilliant! Grey plastic pipe wasn't seated all the way on the MAP sensor and after reseating bam. Still not reading any oil pressure - when I rest on accelerator the light will go off around 3k rpm... then back on if I let off. maybe the filter housing isn't on right??

No MAF sensor on the Gen1 cars.....
Any chance the oil pump was dislodged/damaged? -

Drain back plunger came out with the filter while trouble shooting.
Bentley doesn't even show this in their book (at least I can't find it) so looking for DIY guide if its out there. May create one if not -

found this: North American Motoring - View Single Post - Oil pressure relief valve
I'll attempt this first then dig deeper if it doesn't work. -

If you changed the filter I would really check the valve in the bottom of the oil filter housing as it could be broken, and more likely to break if you are using an aftermarket filter. If you need a new one we sell them, but also have a couple used ones if you want to save a buck.

Way you might have just made my week. I just ordered a new gasket and oil radiator seals from you in anticipation of pulling that housing out. If your saying you have a few of those black drain plungers available I'll take one!

Obviously engine life has been shortened but by how much? Anyone have experience with this?
