    No one learns accordian these days...a lost art! Always love to see/hear one played...shoot, maybe I should make learning to play one a bucket list item. Travel with it, I'd always be just minutes away from a polka party :Thumbsup:

    The only thing that is a PITA, is getting at the rear speakers, but that holds true with what ever you get.

    OK, im not sure if i am just cheap, but with the conversion, VAT and shipping, the system will be 821.00. So i have decided to inquire about just ordering the loom from them.
    Is this the basic setup from newministuff with the loom? (see attachment)
    Green = existing unit / wire
    Yellow = new hardware / wire
    Red = new power run
    Blue = Future purchase

    There is no VAT for US sales.

    Check with them on the potential cost savings.

    Be advised that their loom is designed to NOT use the two upper door speakers (tweeters) and redirects it two speakers in the "A" pillars they provide with the package. This makes the "sound stage" bigger and the sound it much better.

    Nathan is correct. The VAT is paid in Europe ONLY. With the exchange rate at the time, mine was just under $500.00.

    With todays exchange rate the base system for £399.00 is ~$630.90 not including shipping.

    I'm not sure why, but every time I order from them, the total comes out a bit LESS then I figured, which is a good thing. :Thumbsup:

    This is just a guess, but you would have had to disconnect the two rear air bags to get the C-panels off to install the rear speakers. Are you sure you got them firmly re-connected when you put it back together?

    C-panels

    I hate to ask this question, but what is the C-panels? and how / where would a connection be for the airbag be?
    I included a PDF image of the back panel removed, before the speaker was removed for a ref...
    Thanks

    Not sure what I'm looking at in the picture. You haven't set up your garage yet, so I don't know what type MINI you have. Mine is a hatch, but I'm guessing yours is not.

    I have a 2009 S Convertible. When you mentioned a c-panel in the back, i thought that maybe the c-panel was the rear panel that was removed to get to the rear speaker location.
    So the picture was right after that panel was removed.
    Thanks

    On the hatch, the covers on the upper pillars, to each side of the hath, have to be removed. Behind each one is an air bag that has to be disconnected. I know nothing about the vert. Sorry.
