I resent the derogatory remark towards Red Oktober Tractor Factory No. 16. I have been to Red Oktober Tractor Factory No. 16. I have spent couple of summers working at Red Oktober Tractor Factory No. 16. There was no better Tractor Factory producing AK-47's in all of USSR. And if you preferred your lunch to be a fifth of vodka, some pickled herring and boiled potatoes... well then, Red Oktober Tractor Factory No. 16 was the place to be.

I see the resemblance to the original I guess. I hope their sales pitch is "Trabant, not the same old problems." I think these things have taken on a cult type of following in Europe, sorta like the 2CVs had but without ever being a good car for the times, so there's probably a premium they can charge for the name in a way. That or they'll realize the whole 100mile range electric car makes even less sense in Europe than it does in the US, ask BMW to put a diesel engine in it and give the suspension some tweaks........
