    Welcome back...
Ignore the F56 haters.... I don't like the front bumper on the S.... But that's just me...
It's your MINI, and you should enjoy it... I really don't think anyone here will criticize what you get....It's probably more frustration with MINI's design direction....

Oh.... And ignore David.0, he's harmless...

Who you calling cranky.........................and old? :D

Welcome back. If you like your car thats all that matters. Us F haters are more frustrated with the direction BMW has taken. Its not meant to be personal.
Let the Mod-ing begin!! Its still a MINI! Pictures when you get them.

    Welcome back.

We are not grumpy at any drivers or owners we just don't like what MINI \ BMW has done with the car and the brand.

An F56 JCW will surely be a fun drive but if you have fond memories of your R53, it may take awhile to get the same feel from the F.

I've been fortunate to have driven EVERY model MINI has sold in the US - even the crazy expensive GoodWood and the Black Knight (yes, these were just extra options but still cool) and the F model just has a softer feel all around.

The engine is rev-happy and the trans is actually quite smooth, but the power delivery and overall response is somewhat bland. Once you get a lot of driving time, you will be able to maximise its fun factor, but it will take a little while. The R53 (more if you had the JCW or a GP - my ultimate MINI) was instant. It was a rattle box with harsh suspension, but when utilize as intended, it was magic.

    Nice!
We went by the dealer earlier today to sign some paperwork and saw a nice (not manual) JCW in the showroom. Would have loved to take it home!

    Welcome back!

There are a bunch of cranky ol' series one MINI owners here who think the marque was ruined when the series two came out, don't worry about them, they're mostly harmless.

I followed a new MINI into town yesterday, I thought it looked great! The only thing I'm not thrilled with is the new front bumper. But it isn't anything that couldn't be helped by painting it body colored.

Welcome back. I learned many years ago that most people resist change but were it not for change we would still be driving Model A's.

Welcome back! I'm sure you'll enjoy your new cars when you get them. I've heard good things from people that have driven them.

Personally, I'm an R53 guy. It puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. I hope your new cars do the same for you.

Great name :biggrin5:. I'm a Manhattan girl myself, (Rye not Bourbon!) but a good dry Martini is my summertime go to.
