    I know you'd like to save the investment. But, they really should replace your knob knowing they've got some sort'a defect in design. I guess you could always use a small cutoff wheel on your air tool to cut it open just far enough to wack it with a hammer and chisel. It'd probably open up like a ripened peach.

    If there was enough thread engagement I would have. I think the super hot and humid weather earlier this week may have had a role in this little set back. But whatever... I already have an email out to Raceseng and have some ideas to eliminate this from happening again. If he's willing to invest a little into this one little niche part of his market.

    So you are having problems with your knob and you though the Internet was the place to talk about it. :lol:

    Good luck Savvy and if you need tools I have a new pack of cutoff wheels and I will be around tomorrow night.

    Going to throw it up on the lift & drop the exhaust so I can just replace the whole shifter stalk. I'll deal with getting the slammer off at some other time. Kinda have bigger things to worry about the next 5 days or so, you know!?
