This was truly like watching a movie...there were 4 cars airbourn and never have I seen anything remotely close to this in all my years of watching racing...Prayers go out to Dan's family. I will be surprised if IRL survive after this...pardon my pun

While open wheeled events at circle tracks can be amusing to a degree, these cars were built for handling and downforce. Those attributes should be put towards the street and road course tracks rather than super speedways. Can you imagine a F-1 Race on a circle track?.... zzzzzzzzzzz.... I love watching F1 and seeing how amazing the drivers of these cars are ripping through the gears like they do. Seeing someone go flat out all the way around a track just isn't that fun. Sure, it still takes some skill but sometimes it comes down to how much intestinal fortitude you have which then ends up with someone making a stupid play and causing huge accidents.
Sure, its always easy to second guess after the fact, but when IRL/CART/etc switched to mostly circle tracks, that was when I stopped watching.
RIP Dan Weldon. -

Good, light-hearted stuff here. Good friends Tony Kanaan, Dario Franchitti and Brian Herta telling stories. Love the impression of Wheldon in his tight racing suit (second video).
