They might'a got the "funniest looks" from everybody back then, but what a great time when I was growing up... Thanks Davy!

Seems like just yesterday I was running home from school so I could watch the Monkey's TV show... Reruns, but one of my all time favorite shows growing up. Mike Nesmith's words are a very nice way of saying he will be remembered, which he will be. I, for one, miss those days... As I get older, I understand more and more when my parents and grandparents would say things about the good old days.

Ditto. I thought that show was great when I was a kid.

Sad news. There must be legions of women who developed a serious crush on front man Davy back in the band's 60's and 70's peak years (although I think my wife was enamored with Peter). I'll bet his passing has many of them reflecting back fondly on those distant teenage memories.
Like the prior posters, I remember being thoroughly entertained by their TV show. -
Rip. Always wanted the Monkey Mobile.

Oh man...:cryin:...I too loved the Monkee's. Would spend way to much time lip-synching to their songs.
I will have to put in the MINI Monkee CD for the drive home tonight.
