I wonder, is Mid-Ohio Motoring even alive anymore? We now have the Central Ohio region of LXM, a closed Facebook group that seems to shun M/A completely. Mostly due to me I think. Also there is now the Central Ohio Motoring group on Facebook, yet another closed group. Not quite sure what the impetus to that forming was. Then we have the Jr. High like infighting in MoM. Rather surprising from a a group of supposed adults. Do I even bother to post about a donut gathering in July or not?
Then we have the "no club" group that doesn't give a damn what we are called, we just enjoy what we drive, have long time friends associated with all three groups, like to eat donuts, have gotten past the in-fighting and post on all three boards plus M/U. I'm finalizing plans for the MoM Picnic which will include everyone from the three groups under the MoM Umbrella. Maybe MoM should stand for Many Opportunities to Mingle. ......where is Donuts this month?
I have no problems with MoM, aside from the fact that I usually can't make meetings. I hold no grudges and I like everyone, so please don't think that my inattendance is due to you, Nathan, or anyone else. It's all on me. I like knowing that the group is out there and that if I can get my stuff sorted out that I could stop by for good conversation and such. I do like the idea of moving the location though, but that's for purely selfish reasons that really should carry no weight given how infrequently I can drop by.
Isn't it great that such a simple thing like the owners of a common car getting together to enjoy each other's company is such drama. I, for one, am happy I no longer live the drama or have any cares for those who do. Two words come to mind for them... :mtrn:.
Don't forget the "Women of MOM on the Mack".... It'sa splinter group, but they should be included... I think they are up there putting together a special edition "Women of MOM" calendar...:biggrin5:
Are we still in for going to donuts in New Albany as usual or are we making the change to Giant Eagle in Grandview?
What's the street address of the Grandview one? I thought the one there had closed but I could just be imagining things.
Mark... If it's going to be the Giant Eagle in Granview, there is a Panara on the same parking lot... They have nice breakfasts.... Giant Eagle has a food court inside that will give you a nice selection...
Mark and other fellow "no club" members can always hang with our group at the Dragon. Non-clubs are always better! Come to the Darkside we have beer and donuts. :donut1: :beer
We DO have a Tim Horton's here....:cornut: Maybe the non-club could go to various Tim Horton's, or does it always have to be in New Albany?
Pigcraw has a donut shop right across the street from a craft beer pub..., and ample parking, too:arf:
I know some nice roads to get out there and back. What's the name and address of the donuts, Jeff. It really isn't too far if you combine a run into it.
Dobo's Delights on Main St. A local grocer is also famous for its donuts and it is about a mile south of Dobo's, on Wayne [Ulbrich's grocery].
