I have the same tank and my wires going into the coil do not hit. I agree with everyone else that your motor mounts are failing causing you motor to move to much.
These work great and will last a looooooong time versus the crap OEM mounts.
*Note* They are not cheap.

Pretty confident your motor mounts are shot. Mine is close, but not close enough to hit, unless the motor was rocking considerably.

Thats pretty lame that you put up a thread about a problem you are having rather than going directly to the vendor you got it from.
I know it would frustrate me if i was in Jans position, I cant speak directly for him but i know he would rather solve your problem than have you post this on a forum.
I know thats not what you would mean it as but some people would read it as you dont want to deal with him.
That said, I do think your mounts are shot, And i do have the parts you need in stock.-

Like everyone said Jan is a stand up guy. Also check your motor mounts. I don't know the year of your R53 but if there is black oil under the mount on the passenger side, by the pulleys it needs to be changed.

Every M/A site sponsor that I have I have dealt with wanted to make sure the customer received what they paid for. I have never worked with Jan but from all the posts I have read here, you would be making a mistake not to. -
