Same question as that other place. What if it is a retune?

If you are asking about cost. The cost for a retune is much less as it will include the dyno time and little if any tune fee.

Pre-Tune checklist
Adding some compiled info from a few different sources on what we need to do to get ready for a custom tune on a dyno, including what Jan recommends.
1. Over half the hole showing in the tensioner for an R53. If you have less than this get the NAPA Belt# 060535 belt for all reduced pulley applications. 15%, 17% and 19%
2. New plugs if yours are more than 10K miles old, Jan may bring some plugs for us to purchase on the spot. I believe he recommends Brisk plugs and has a few diff models based on the car and any mods.
3. 93 octane gas if you are local to Austin, Chevron/Shell is usually the best
4. make sure your boots on intercooler are not worn/torn/old. Don't waste boost, and engine performance on a leak.
5. Make sure you have no check engine lights, review any specific issues with Jan
6. make sure your exhaust is NOT leaking
7. Clean air filter
8. Enough oil and coolant, may also want to ensure your oil is relatively fresh, < 3K miles.
9. Non slipping clutch
10. For R53, 380cc injectors if 19% or 15/3% or 15/2 or 17/2 etc
If you plan on running your car on the track it's always better to have 380cc injectors over the stockers -

I would like to reserve a slot on saturday
-
I think you are ok with that CEL, Jan can clear that code, but it will come back with no cat or O2 simulator.
Ok, I have you down for a Saturday slot.
Also, if you are still thinking about that 15% SC pulley, do it before the tune. -
oh just out of curiosity how much will my fuel consumption go up? right now i am at about 25 avg with all my mods. -
With a good tune...
fuel consumption usually goes down, not up, as the car isn't running as rich all the time. Of course, if your foot goes down more, your mileage may vary!
Matt -
mark me down for a slot on Saturday

Thanks,

Good question, every car is different.... blah blah blah, but I'll give Jan a quick call and get you an answer by tomorrow. I am curious about this one as well.
-
Sorry to change it up on the last minute, but if there's a spot on Friday, can I get one - preferably one during the later part of the day - Thanks
Modifications
19% pulley
JCW injectors
colder plugs
DDM intake -
No problem, I have you for a 5pm slot on Friday.
-
I'll be at TWS the 3rd & 4th and ECR on the 24th of October.

Ok, I have nailed down the shop and so we have final dyno pricing!
The dyno cost will be $115/hr, much better than the $150 I had listed initially.
I will make the edit to the OP, cheaper is better!
As far as the schedule, I am planning for 1.5hrs of dyno time per car, this is a good average, with a likely min and max of 1hr, and 2hrs respectively. -
any update?
