Anyone use this kit on a daily driver. I realize it’s for race application but it’s one of the best if not the best looking.
Guessing the car has coilovers and could be raised to whatever height needed for your needs. I almost bought a kit when my MINI became a non DD but still would have been a street car. I had coilovers to adjust as needed.. Main reason I didn't pull the trigger is it is made out of Fiberglass and with those front fender flares being open on the back side it would be throwing rocks right at the rear flares. Granted typical little stones wouldn't be a big deal, but IF it picked up a good size one and crack goes the rear flare and a replacement is half way around the world...Race cars usually have a clean track so not as big a deal till you go off road with it...
If RMW stands for revolution motor works, http://www.revolutionmini.com/, I would stay away. They don't stand by their products. We recently had a faulty os giken lsd bought from them and they refuse to fix/replace. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
Not really. it's a 2000$ os giken lsd driven only 500 km NOT ON even on TRACK with broken internals. It was sent back and forth 2 times and they still state there is no "problem". Anyway our mini group is quite big and well known. That's 50k potential customer lost. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
It’s not broke, that how the OSG sounds because of the clutch plates. I have one from Jan and so do a few of my friends. It’s not a shitty OEM diff or a Quaife LSD. Maybe you don’t know how a OSG LSD sounds or drives like. I have had mine for well over 30,000 Miles and so have others. Just because your in a large well known MINI group means nothing as LXM is a huge group and most of them are idiots.
Look buddy you are from Turkey and this is really a USA site so don’t come here bashing a vendor only you have a problem with. Jan is not the maker of that part he is just a reseller / dealer just like everyone that sells OSG parts Many things lead to even the best parts failing. Wrong fluid, shipping damage, incorrect adjustment, poor install and on and on. Have you tried calling / contacting OSG and dealing with them directly? If you have your receipt from RMW they would honor the OSG warranty on the part THEY made.
Well I am not gonna ask you whether I can come here or not. If this forum only meant for USA users then opt out registering international users. If sharing my free thoughts are against the forum policies then get me banned, I'm fine with that. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
Ok this is not a USA only sight. Yes most of us are in the US but everyone is welcome. Part of trying to rebuild MA is to make it where all Mini enthusiasts will come and share what they have done to their cars. Overseas Mini enthusiasts are very welcome! The rule here is if you are going to criticize a vender it is from the prospective of what happened to you and your interaction with the vender. @Svampfest has done this. His opinion is valid and welcomed just like everyone else opinion. We all have our favorite venders and might not like hearing they have dropped the ball but they are human and it happens! The venders are welcome to come and answer any post. What is expected is everyone is respectful and not to air out dirty laundry! I like RMW but that is based on my experience with them. Some like Thumper based on their experience. Some do not. @Svampfest says he had a bad experience and appears too have proof of a bad part. Jan is welcome to give his side of what happened. But I will not allow this to get ugly! @Dave.0 Instead of getting aggravated, given your relationship with Jan/RMW you could offer to step in and see if you can help. This may be a big misunderstanding. The rules that apply here, 1-You have a complaint about a vender it is first person and factual 2-You are respectful! Your MA Mom
Well said - you are fine. It would be good to understand the situation more if it can add clarity. As Mcs02 mentioned, Dave does have a good relationship with Jan. If he chooses to help he could potentially bridge a gap. Also from what I understand they usually stand behind their work and the parts they sell. Note, I’ve never personally purchased anything from them.
