love this build, I'm a fan of rear engine specials. thanks Jan for the car porno. This is the other X1 I like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bell_X-1 I think Jan's will be faster.
Craftsmanship, and design are awesome. Takes a real artist to visualize something like this, and then to make it happen.
Quite amazing Jan. You said you plan on making this a product?!? MINI by name, steering rack, engine, and body shape only. Just curious as to where the design for the suspension kinematics came from. Was it borrowed from another setup or were they all done from scratch? 2 longevity questions; why no inconel for exhaust manifold studs, and how are you structurally supporting the turbo? The thin-wall won't hold it for long at full EGT.
yes, the plan is to make turn key race cars some will have the stock trans and this is the upgraded version dog gears are being made for stock trans for those that want flat foot shifting suspension is all from scratch......... ARP said for this application the studs supplied will do the trick the manifold is supported. It's just not on there yet:devil:
Wideband gauge in to keep an eye on things when at warp speed Remote oil filter with oil pressure sensor Shift box wired so we can paddle shift the Sadev transmission Some wiring Water Pressure switch Turbo drain line in: Turbine Speed sensor in: Battery check
it lives! the filter is temporary to keep stuff out of the turbo . CAI in the works http://vid1129.photobucket.com/albums/m5...6ps6if.mp4
