Sheesh! Mine, if I press and hold both the lock and unlock buttons for 30 seconds, it rotates the tyres front to back and vice versa and then auto-washes itself. Don't they all do that?

 

And when you do find things like this.... You become the BOSS.....

 

Dave you tell her anything bought for Mini is WAY necessary and only thing unnecessary is the yelling !!

 

If you have a sunroof.... Keep holding the un-lock button and your sunroof will also open after the windows roll down....

 

My 03 does it, and yes if you hold a 1st gen key to your chin it works further away from your MINI:crazy:

 

Careful... The transmitter RF will also cause you to start loosing your noggin hair.... It's also been known to cause your shorts to drop.... That keyfob controls many things....:biggrin5:

 

Yup Minis have had that feature since 2005 but it's cool when you find out by mistake.

 

It was earlier than 05 my 02 would do it as well.

 

I discovered it by accident. My keys were in my pocket at work, and I looked out the window to see my windows down and roof open.

I now no longer keep my keys in my pocket at work.

 

I have a 02 and the dealer had to program the key to roll down the windows and open the sunroof. The fob originally opened the boot instead of opening the windows.

 

My shorts don't droop, but the noggin hair is making way for a nice solar collector...

 

One of the options my key fob thinks my 03 has is an open the boot function. It don't:crazy:

 

I did this once, but the passenger window then wouldn't go back up all the way afterwards. Had to have it reprogrammed.

Haven't tried it since.

 

Nice feature, very helpful in hot summer months when parked outside... Together with popping the rear barn door by remote complete geek's guide to impress strangers on a busy downtown street...
