Greetings. Once again Randy and the gang at RSR Motorsports are prepping MINIs for Grand-Am racing in the 2012 Grand-Am Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge. The first race at Daytona is just 10 weeks away and series testing, also at Daytona, starts in early January. Use the schedule below to follow along. All TV dates/times are listed as TBA at this point, I'll update as Grand-Am publishes. Once the series is underway you can find results in the Results column at the Grand-Am site (look for "View Results" on the schedule page) as well as the various RSR you'll see in this forum. The Conti Series races aren't broadcast live but if you're interested in following along live there is usually a Live Timing feature that I think you'll be able to access via the event schedule page during the races. I am glad to hear that RSR will still be racing Minis in 2012. I can't wait to see the team at Laguna Seca in September.
Grand Am must have extended the use of the R53 again. Think five years is the standard after a model has stopped production... R53 for the Championship!!!
VIR is such a great venue, sorry they will not be there. I'm also over the top to see that my beloved RSR R53 MINI's will be out fighting for the championship again.
Let's hope the Kia's have been handed some "racing equality" mods. Not the least of which would be the benching of sir Nic (crash-a-lot) J.
 There needs to be a designated hitter. Team RSR has enough cars to take out a kia or 2 in first few laps. After all kia took a MINI out on lap 1 at Mid-Ohio. Just kidding folks. I'd volunteer to drive the DH MINI... :ihih:
TV Schedule for Daytona - Feb 4, 4:00 PM ET, SPEED [tape delay] Entry List (as of this AM): 195 Car Chris Puskar, Charlotte, N.C. Randy Smalley, Paradise Valley, Ariz. Hard to believe there's only one race so far with a published broadcast schedule. Fortunately Gran-Am and Speed have another two months to get their acts together before the second race at the end of March. The first race is this Friday (27 Jan) at Daytona, broadcast date/time as mentioned by sdmidget, above.
HOT OFF THE PRESS - We've added the 197 Car - but it's no longer a MINI - it's a new Honda Civic SI: RSR Motorsports Adds a Honda Civic to the Daytona Lineup: RSR Motorsport / RSR Racing
