Greetings. Randy and the gang at RSR Motorsports are prepping their race MINIs for a very competitive season in the 2011 Grand-Am Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge. The first race at Daytona is a month away and series testing starts in less than two weeks! Use the schedule below to follow along. Once the series is underway you can find results in the Results column at the Grand-Am site (look for "View Results" on the schedule page) as well as the various RSR threads I'm sure we'll see in this forum. These races aren't generally broadcast live (maybe never?) but if you're interested in following along live there is usually a Live Timing feature that I think you'll be able to access via the event schedule page during the races. Really looking forward to the upcoming season - to continue our successes from the end of last year. Have fun at test days guys! [scheduled for jury duty that week] :incazzato:
Next practice session scheduled for 4:15 PM ET. Go to live Timing and Scoring on the Grand-Am site: GRAND-AM Road Racing - Official Web Site The 195, 196 and 198 cars are at the track!
The Grand-Am 200 at Daytona is coming up in two weeks, 27-28 Jan. Delayed television coverage scheduled for 5 Feb, 3:00 PM ET, on Speed. Go RSR!!!
I just finished adding Speed's newly announced TV scheduling (see post #1). I suspect the TBA listed for Lime Rock is misleading and they won't be covering that one.
My guess would be that with the way they finished the season last year it is a penalty award for doing so well.....
Guess they should have sand bagged a bit. I figured they would end up with a restrictor or more weight after their charge to the front last year. That kind of sucks, hope they can overcome this.
Since we're learning about changes, here's a minor detail I've been wondering about. While checking the results after one of the test sessions a few weeks ago I noticed that rather than 196, 197 and 198 as in 2010, they were showing 195, 196 and 198. Why the number change? Anyone?
They are one better then last year? They want to be closer to the 33? Some prime number conspiracy thing?
