Please tell me why we need more Government when one of the largest oil skimming ships, one that can skim more oil by itself than all the present ships at work combined....is sitting at dock while our bureaucrats and politicians sit with their thumbs up their collective asses debating on the legality of said ships presence on the scene????

Hearing stuff like this makes me very angry. I just don't understand the delay. Clean it up then we can figure out who has to pay and who is to blame. If there is a big fore somewhere the fire-fighters show up and put it out, if they need help they call for backup. There is no "Well you were smoking in bed, it's your responsibility to put it out with your garden hose."
Even if the government gets stuck with the bill it is still worth it to clean this mess up that will affect so many people.

 

This is a foreign ship offering help as several other countries have but our Government in all their wisdom can't just say thank you please jump in with all you've got and we'll work out the legalize later.....

Guess if we had more people sitting behind their bureaucratic desk to debate the decision, it'd get done quicker.......yea right....

Please Mr President, between the front nine and the back, pick the phone up and tell them to allow the help in now.

I did think it seemed to good to be true that the oil had degraded so quickly. Hopefully this isn't just the beginning.
