Weather Channel is reporting just over 3.1 million with no power so far at about 7:45 pm

Weather.com states over 8 million w/o power..... not sure I believe that one.

I saw on FOX NEWS this morning that a 4 ft. wall of water was flooding a subway. Lot's of fires and around a Million without power,gas,sewer or water.

I didn't guess "over" (above 10M) based on anything the media said. When the Derecho wind storm came through here this July (or was it late June?) there were a million outages in DC and adjacent counties alone. I figured since this big thing was heading right at the heart of the NE corridor there would be a huge impact and many millions of outages possible.
I'm glad to be proven wrong. -

We lost power at 5:30 last night and it will be at least 2 more days before the extend will be known. JCP&L(Jersey Central Power & Light) is a tenant in my building and that was the inside scoop. I'm at work now using the computor as we have the building genny running.
Our house went without damage but the damage just a few blocks away is brutal....
