They may be, but I just got another email with Barry peddling leftover bags from the last MINI Takes The States... He's seeking 30 bucks and's throwing in five back issues of the monthly blow. What a crack-up. I chose not to be removed from his email contact list just so I can get a great unexpected laugh every now and again.

 

I just received the latest issue of MC2, so he's still plugging along.

 

Received an issue, how can that be? I read here that they were out of bidness.

 

Heh, I got that too. All the links were broken. I LOL'ed. Hey Barry the Bad, is it really that hard to take an extra minute and validate your links?

Then there was another one hawking the mugs they have been stuck with for like 5 years now.

 

I received it also, I didn't catch any misspelled words but a lot of bad grammar. The only quality to it is the paper.

 

I spy with my little eye that MC2 is not a vendor nor a sponsor for MOTD 2016. Only the largest event by attendance in one place in the country.

Before you ask, of course Motoring Alliance is a sponsor. How could you doubt that!

 

Yeah, I got one too. The subscription was a gift from my son's girlfriend. She didn't know any better. :no nod:

EDIT: I told her thank you and that I loved it.

A good friend is building a 1970 Chevelle SS convertible clone.
He has owned the car since it was new and has been collecting new old stock parts, for years, to do it right.

He has done a number of frame up restorations of it over the years, but this is the fist time it will be an SS.

He is a concours judge for Chevrolets from 1955 to 1980, so I know it will be done right.

 

Saw a car yesterday that jumped to the top of my got to have list. At the Carlisle Import & Performance show a guy from Calif. had a 356A Porsche with a mid-engine Subaru WRX behind the
seats. 330 hp and the car weighed 2200 lbs. It was a coupe not a speedster and was a replica (think Beck). It was tube framed with a fiberglass body. He said a company in Tenn. makes
them. My last question was of course how much, the car cost 50k from the builder and he has another 30k in it. Sorry no pics but I'm trying to find the name of the building company. His
car was not a one off and all the company makes are Subie engine Porsche replicas.
