Went to see The Melvins this evening where upon I came across a new hairstyle.

I present the Skullet, proudly worn by balding mullet aficionados.

Sorry, the picture does not convey the razor sharp line demarcating skull and hair. If you look close you see the bald spot in the middle.

    GP-2 Front Under tray...

Another GP-2 part showed up today at the shop....:D And yes, Justa Jim.... It will get installed this weekend...

With the combination of the front under tray, the mid section under panels and the rear diffuser.... the drag is supposed to be reduced by 6%...

Interesting construction... Fiberglass mat co-mingled with the polypropylene resin.... Added stiffness and impact resistance...

    Complete with all fasteners...

Bottom View... NASA ducts and central louvers for extra cooling...

Top view... with heat shield in the area of the bottom of the down pipe...

I gotta say it's a pretty amazing piece for the price paid.... Less than the price of 2 tanks of gas and it gets 6% reduced drag.... It'sa wonderment....

    ""Worth Noting

For the record, the aerodynamic tweaks result in a surprising reduction in fuel consumption and emissions. MINI claims that the new front spoiler and shielding of the engine compartment underneath has resulted in a six per cent reduction in drag. Apparently slits in the under-tray are designed to actively suck air out of the engine bay, hence making the turbo's intercooler more efficient too.""

    As posted here... http://www.carenthusiast.com/reviews/article/7876/-/2013-MINI-John+Cooper+Works+GP/Track+test.html

LOL, changing the oil was the first thing that came to Crash's mind.

I think we should change his screen name from "Crashton" to "Doctor Oil".

Yep I likes clean oil & good running engines. :yesnod:

Having owned a Subaru that required dropping the skid plate every time I changed oil has made me notice such things like a hole to access the drain plug.

We might change your name from Justa Jim to Justa Sludge....

No sludge in my engine old buddy. Just long lasting oil and I'm not afraid to use it.
