Mounted mine on the right knee bolster. I used 3M Industrial Dual Lock material. Much better hold than Velcro.
After having it reprogrammed for MINI, I am currently running boost, voltage, coolant temp, and oil temp.

^^^ This is true and they did this for mine at no charge...
Interesting fact... I kept getting two strange codes that would clear but would always come back (don't remember which ones they were now).... After the MINI specific software reflash on the SGII, the strange codes haven't resurfaced....
My mount (no visible power lead.... kinda)....

I used to have mine mounted down low where it didn't look out of place. But found that i couldn't read it safely. I switched to the cravenspeed mount, it looks a little more aftermarket but is actually readable!

For Christmas I got a ScanGauge II from Santa.
I just got it back from Linear Logic for the MINI firm wear update.
I now get readings for oil pressure and oil temperature along with the original gauge settings like water temperature and voltage. I also noticed that a fuel-rail pressure gauge was available.
ScanGauge II + CraveSpeed =happy

I'm very happy with my Scangauge. I mounted mine directly beneath the switch panel in the center console of my R53 with double sided tape. I like it there because it looks like it belongs there. If you like, check out the picture of it in my gallery of MINI photos.

FYI if you get your ScangaugeII from WMW it will come preprogrammed with the special MINI codes:
TFT- Transmission Fluid Temp (Auto Trans ONLY)
EOT- Engine Oil Temperature
A/F- Air Fuel Ratio
FRP- Fuel Rail Pressure (PSI)
ENG- Engine Temperature
If you get it from anyone else you will have to ship it back to scangauge and pay $25 to get it upgraded with this programming. -
Had I known that Way sells them "pre-flashed", I would have bought mine from him instead of AutoZone, to both save me the hassle (and slight cost) of shipping, and to support a small business who supports MINI owners. But Linear Logic will reprogram a newer (software version #) free as a courtesy, or at least they have been doing so. Contact Linear Logic/ScanGauge with questions. -
