Yes.. I must not do that, however it was a response.... I will be more careful.
When some one asks for my results I can help. As far as telling what is best or better, it is stepping on the toes of other vendors.. as far as all my time spent on dyno, or on my knees changing camshafts, that is for me to develop a camshaft I want to use, so it is a wash.
MINIMARK loves this stuff... and if he likes to keep going on and on.. it is entertaining to most. I dont think you need to ask or pose a question unless you have the facts to discus, yes?? I agree, but I just answer the question.
Keeping with the guidelines of this form.. I retract pointing to ( EDIT) on any camshaft discussion. I have no knowledge of such cams or their power levels. ( quality is just from the cam Manufacture as stated from the owner)
Nate.. ALL I do is cylinder Heads...all the rest is my experience and opinions " to help others".

Actually Mark, it was someone else that revived this thread.
Jim, you are correct, it is not M/A vendor bashing per-say, it's just plain old vendor bashing without the M/A. -
I stand corrected Nathan, it was the second post which Thumper chose to slam RMW in, even when RMW wasnt mentioned.

9:1 or maybe a 9.5:1 seems a little low for a N/A MC? I thought standard CR for a MC was 10:5:1? remember this is not an MCS

The NS1 cam was designed with the r50 ( MC) in mind. NO tune needed ( but always better) Keeping in mind the n/a engine is going to need a low end loss to pull power on higher revs at the track ( above 6900 revs). to get more power , you will need the valves open longer to allow air flow int the cylinders.. ( duration ) this will take the low power away and transfer it to more top power. The NS1 cam is right in the sweet spot. The lowend ( below 2000 revs) will be sacrificed a bit.. but after that.... the car rocks up to the red line of 7200 revs.
With the ported Head you have.. adding the NS1 will amaze ya!! here is a testimony from a rally car driver..
Still breaking things in, so I'm taking it a bit easy for now, but I've gotten on it several times and it's very, very nice. It actually chirps the tires shifting into 2nd at WOT and redline, which it never did before.
One of my biggest complaints with the Shrick cam was the peakiness of it - nothing below 4000 RPM's, then all the power from there up and then falling on its face above 6400 RPM. And, a major, major dip in power between 3K and 4K rpms. While ( edit name of Shop) tuning did take some of that out and improve driveability, it couldn't take it all out.
With the current setup (Tpr1 and NS cam), the dip between 3-4K RPM's is gone. It keeps pulling all the way to redline - and I think it would keep going, so I'll need to get that bumped up. No more drop off! Part throttle acceleration is crisp - full throttle is greatness. It actually pulls everywhere, even down low, although the fun really starts at 4000.

I hope this helps you.. and sorry for 'assuming you had the r53'
