I just got a really great deal on a set of the Scroth 4 point quick harnesses, only issue (potentially) is they are out of a R56, and I have a R53. I got them just to secure them and figured I'm happy to pay the shipping if I need to return.

All that said, does anyone know if these will work? The install points seem the same and the only hang up I can imagine is the male tabs, king of a critical point.

I've read that the R53 harness can be put into a R56 with very little issue, but is the same for the reverse?

I think they may well be easy to install in your R53. My thought is that Scroth certifies these for a particular car & that doesn't mean they won't work in an R56 & R53. Let us know how this works out. Good luck.

I used Scroth harness' in my R53 for track use. You're going to like them.

Thanks for the feedback. They'll be her next Tuesday, so should know for sure by then. I'd been wanting a set for 3 forever's, but with only doing a track day a year the price was hard to justify...this deal, the price was too good to pass up.

After looking at quite a few R56 seat belts online, compared to the R53 I have, I'm feeling a bit more confident that they will work. I have a single opening in the male tab, as does the harnesses I bought, so fingers crossed.

I took mine out of my R53 and put them in my R55 with no issues.

Woo Hoo! No issues, at all. Direct bolt and clip in. Just so anyone ever googles this in the future: R56 into R53, No issues.

Passenger side in, I'll do the drivers side later, just wanted to update.

That was the deal of the year, for sure.
