Has anyone seen this before? I have an 02' beauty. Everything is fine when I start the car up and works perfectly for about 5 mins- then it shuts off and restarts. I get the Mini logo, the ATTENTION screen, and it starts again. After about three times it stays off. Any ideas?

I have had this Mini for about a year. I have not ever had the NAV DVD. Could that be an issue?

Thanks Dave- but it's no longer under warranty. I wanted to try asking here before I ponied up and made the drive into the dealership. I have 150k on it.

:cornut: Just for grins check the battery. MINIs do very strange things when the battery is going out. Just a suggestion.

The car battery is a very possible cause. On my car, the Nav acting up has proved to be a warning that the battery was about to die. My 06 has needed battery replacement twice, and the Nav started to have issues both times. And indeed both times the battery did die before I got around to checking it. Check it soon before you suddenly find that the car doesn't start!
