    This is a re-post of a lost thread. What I can remember:D.

    Had a scuff/scratches indecent a month or so ago. A roll of asphalt rolled roofing had a glancing blow with my drivers side rear fender, right behind the fuel cap. Neither the roofing or the car are responsible, just the relative.

    The damage was a lot of tar, and about a 4" wide, by about a 10" swipe.

    Looked like this;

    So first thing, clean. Washing did nothing to the tar. So I used clay, for about 1/2 an hour on the area.

    So now I had clean scratches; You can see them upper right, just around the MINI sign;

    From this point got out the PC and started polishing with Amigo/white pad, did nothing. Then Amigo/orange pad, did very little. So I went to Swirl/orange pad, and it removed the scratches. I then worked my way back to Amigo/white pad. Put a layer of Banana Gloss on to protect the area till the spring detail.

    Done;

    Whole fix took about 2 hours.

    I do things like that so I remember what the picture is showing. I leave a piece of clay, or a product in the shot, or in this case:Thumbsup:, a good result.
