Check with Aaron at Outmotroring. He has what you are looking for. An extender that puts the buckle closer to you so you can reach it easier.

Thx! -
Odd...I'm also a big guy with a weight a bit more north than both of you and I have no issues with reaching for the seatbelt.

I keep a donut there. I motivates me to reach for the belt.

Aaron replied, they no longer sell that item. It was not effective and there were returns so he doesn't sell it anymore.
I will look at other things.
@ Nathan, being "short" is what, I think, makes it less than fun. I have the seat up aways to reach the pedals and the seatbelt is waaaaaaayyyy back there.
@ Crashton, I may need to put a protien bar there for motivation, thanks! -

I have an older BMW 2-door coupe and the seat belt is farther back than the MINI. Try reaching down instead of up, and try moving the little seat belt slider way up so that you get some slack when the belt retracts.
The BMW E92 3-series coupe has little arms that slide forward and push the seat belt towards you. It's cool to watch, but looks pretty fragile.
@Crashton: I like that idea better. -
@ jbewley; that's a $0.00 DIY that I will try ASAP! Nice!

I had a Nissan 300 once that had the automatic shoulder harness than traveled along the upper window when you shut the door. dang thing would knock every ice cream cone I bought out of my hands when I'd shut the door.
