    I had the problem all the time. I found that to avoid the problem I would give a small tug on the belt as it retracted. This would pop the twist out.

    Will they pull all the way out? if so... they shouldn't still be twisted...

    Where is it twisted......at the reel or simply on the other side of the b pillar loop?
