I don't care what the naysayer critics have to say, everyone should at least think about seeing 13 Hours. After all, there's a vote just around the corner...

Sean Connery was the best as 007, IMHO

Wasn't too thrilled with Roger Moore or Pierce Brosnan or Timothy Dalton.... Meh...

Just powered through the last 7 episodes of "The man in the High Castle" this past weekend. There damn well better be a second season. Otherwise, that ending makes about as much sense as the ending of the original "The Italian Job" with Michael Caine.

Sorry. Tarantino lost my movie money after his killer cop rant in central park.
I got the box set of Jurassic movies for Christmas so that's what I'll be watching this week.

I'm a huge fan of Tarantino movies. Hateful Eight starts off a little slow but comes thru in good fashion.

I really enjoyed The Martian! I thought they did a really good job staying relatively true to the book, and thought it was a nice change of pace from the typical good guy vs. bad guy movie.

I finally watched Mad Max: Fury Road.

In retrospect, I wonder why I sat through the entire thing. Can a movie be a movie if there is no plot? Because this train wreck didn't have one. Okay, it's not fair to say it was a train wreck, because that would involve a train. Instead, this was a more of a wild dystopian future desert vehicle wreck. Over and over and over and over and over.

I will say there are two positives: 1) The various vehicles were very imaginatively designed. 2) The stunt work was impressive. But watching two flippin' hours of a multi-vehicle chase through the desert with many, many, many crashes does not a movie make.

Is this only about new movies? I have a bad one...

I finally watched Plan 9 from Outer Space recently. Wanted to see what they mean when they call it the worst movie ever made. They're exaggerating, right? It'll be one of those things that's so bad it's laughable, right? Wrong! On both counts!

It's bad, really bad. Damn my curiosity! I don't recommend it.

I saw The Big Short this weekend and thought it was really good. Great cast that made things easy for everyone to understand. Numerous financial friends of mine also highly recommend it.

You get to watch a movie that falls somewhere between "the worst movie ever made" and "so bad, it's good." Do you have about an hour and 20 to waste finding out where you fall on that scale?

The only part I thought was "so bad, it's good" was the bit with the laughably fake flying saucer wobbling around on a string. If I remember correctly, that redeems about 15 seconds of the movie.

Go ahead, give it a try. You might like it.
