Just saw "Killing Season" on Starz. DeNiro and Travolta in a movie that reminded me of the movie "Hell in the Pacific" that only had two actors, Lee Marvin and Mifune Toshiro. Only not as good. Not nearly. :frown2:
Recently saw Star Wars in IMAX. Also saw The Hateful Eight. Tarantino crushed it again. There is barely a handful of directors/writers out there that put as much effort into the characters like he does. The dialog among them makes the three hours go by in no time.
I watched the Danish Girl last night and I thought it was a great movie. Most of the movies released this time of year are always decent in my opinion. I've watched most of the new releases and I can't say I wasn't entertained by them.
I was disappointed with Hateful Eight also but it wasn't that bad. Definitely not in the same running with other movies this year. Supposedly the retro (70mm?) screening was pretty cool.
