Return the car to stock (as much as possible) and sell off the parts.

You can easily undo any of the mods you have. IMHO as much as I like your MINI the way it is & what you have done will make your MINI worth less to most folks & make it worth less money. Best start de-modding. Maybe place an ad here & over at the other site before de_modding.
-
When you place an ad for the whole MINI here you also have the option (at no charge) to also have it displayed on eBays local classifieds increasing your marketing reach.
-
Allen, while I agree with others that it will sell quicker with the mods removed, based on the amount of custom paint work that your Justa has you need to weigh the cost of re-painting the orange bits to what the change will net. I agree with Chuck, run an ad with it as is and see what the results are first . Nathan's offer will also get you more exposure.

Working on the ad this weekend. Hope to have it listed early next week. Also going to see what Carmax offers. We sold Jill's Mazda to them and they offered us more than expected so who knows it might be just that easy.
Thanks for all the advice! -

My experience with Carmax and my dead stock 2003 JCW was an offer for about 2/3 current wholesale book value - and according to their inspection, the car needed no repairs - it had about 60K on it at the time.
I sold it myself, but had little luck with the usual sites like Cars.com or Auto Trader - which had served me well in the past. I also got little to no response from ads on the NAMeless site and MiniMania. I did get a lot of calls from my Craigslist ads, but no one came and looked at it.
I wound up finding a buyer in a thread on the NAMeless site. Someone had posted in someone's thread that they were looking at used MINIs in their part of the country, which wasn't all that far from where I live and I suggested he consider mine. We met at a neutral location, he drove it and bought it on the spot, paid my asking price too.
It took a year from my first posted ad till I sold it, but I admit I wasn't pushing the sale very hard, as I really didn't want to get rid of it that much - but I had the new Clubman so it didn't make sense to keep them both at the time. Now I wish I had.... -

Thanks for the story. If all else fails the dealer that is going to help me find an M3 didn't mind that the car was modified, so if I can't find a buyer before I find a car to buy I will just trade it. I would much rather make a few extra bucks and sell it myself though.

Dave, you can buy Allen's MINI. Problem solved for both of you. It's a very nice car.

My Mini would look pretty nice next to that Clubman

Were I to get another 1st gen car, it would have to be an S....but I think I'm leaning towards getting a Classic instead.

Gee, Allen, does that mean you won't be coming to the monthly breakfasts anymore?

It is not that easy to get rid of me. I will just park with the 2 Andy's. We can become the past and present Mini club.

As far as I'm concerned all friends are welcome at breakfast. What you drive doesn't matter. We can put some MINI wings on Allen's M3.
