I'd also toss a transmission fluid change in there too.

I found this....
Inspection 1 (Minor service)
Includes services in Oil Change (above) plus: change Interior Ventilation Filter, change Transmission fluid if CVT, add Windshield Washer fluid, check Wipers and Washers, lubricate doors and locks, check Battery condition, Suspension, CV boots, Exhaust System, Manual Transmission fluid level, pressure check Cooling System, and reset Service Indicator and road test for overall performance.
Inspection 2 (Major service)
Includes services from Oil Change and Inspection 1 plus: change Air Filter, Engine Coolant, flush Brake fluid, and mileage. Model dependent add on's include: Spark Plugs (100K), Belt change (100k cooper 60K S) and Oxygen Sensor (100K).
All of this is DIYable. I would also change plugs, wires & the serpentine belt. -

Don't pay a dealer to do it. That will be the most expensive oil change you've ever had.
The Insp 2 on an R53 includes: oil change, Micro filter change, Eng air filter, and drive belt replacement. Then they check over the car to sell you other repairs.
At WMW when we do an inspection 2 we do all the above, but also add spark plugs and wires as we find they are due before the 100k recommends.
We do have an Insp 2 kit

And if need I know a shop in Indy that could do the work. -
Do I need a special tool to reset the service indicator on the dash? Also, is it important to flush the coolant and brake fluid? If so, is the clutch slave cylinder and brake system on the same system needing bleed together?

There is no special tool needed to reset the service indicator.
Oil Service Interval Reset - 02-06 MINIs - MINI Cooper
FWIW yes it is important to flush the coolant & the brake fluid. The brake fluid absorbs moisture over time which, 1 lowers the boiling point & 2 can lead to rust in the system. I have never bled the slave just flushed out the brakes on my MINI.
Coolant will lose its corrosion inhibitors over time. It may still be ok as far as freeze protection, but the corrosion is a worry too. -
That makes sense. I'll make sure to change those fluids when I do the service 2 inspection. Thanks for the recommendations and the link to a maintenance kit. Do you recommend changing the sc oil now too?

I'd wait until about 100K for the SC oil change, but only you can make that call. It is not the easiest job, but is DIYable if you have the time tools & ambition.

Way, It looks like I have an inner tie rod joint on its way out and will need my car aligned. What was that name of the shop you recommended here in Indy?
