My Mini was a year old last month and also hit 15K. I took it in for the yearly oil change, which they did. On start up I noticed the miles remaining to a full service, but the date was still 11/2009. SA said not to worry about that. On 11/30/09 on start up it said 6000 miles remaining and 11/2009. Now at start up the little car and the date (11/2009) are red, with no miles showing. I ran a check and it says that a road worthyness test is past due. Dealer says to ignore it. Is there a way to re-set it? Did a search, checked the library and saw nothing. Jim
I would take it back to the dealer. Ask them for a service bulletin specifically stating not to worry about it. Then you might want to weigh in on this: http://www.motoringalliance.com/forums/politics-other-messy-stuff/2102-mediocrity-new-benchmark-excellence.html
They owe you a service and by saying "don't worry about it" is just a brush off. On the shameless commecial plug, this software will let you set these at your whim. Matt
Never tried this or know if it will reset that particular indicator but the Mini2 forum had this. MINI2 - MINI Forum - FAQ & DIY: Maintenance and Care
