Not sure what the difference is. My guess is the price difference is because there are more 02-03 short shifters sitting on the shelf for sale. Lower the price & move the goods.

just stating the obvious that there must be a difference or they would be listed to fit 02-06. Now what that difference is I can't help with that... and as Crashton said might just be to move them out..

I see the ball end of the shifter is a different size. I'll just get the extender then and make it easier.

Look at the Greene short shift kit... No need to mod or leave off the shifter cover. :)

Correct. The lower ball joint where it attaches to the transmission cables is a totally different size from 02-03 vs 04-06 models. The main pivot is also different.

I have searched for the Greene kit and the only thing I found is Greene Performance. They don't offer shifter kits. Where could I find what you suggested?

I'm looking at all of them. I also thought I had seen a short throw L shaped part for the left right movement at one time. Has anyone seen or used one?

Thanks Seth. I can deal with the dust cover issues. I'll be interested to see how yours worked out.

No problem. I'll let you test mine out on Saturday. However, and you know that I have a lengthened shifter, the throw is not as short as I would like it but better than it was stock.

I have the Helix SS. I think the one from the link actually has a smidge shorter throw than the Helix.
