    Has anyone replaced the factory antennae with the short stubby one? If so, do you need to get it from Mini or will some of the aftermarket ones work? Is the reception compromised at all? Thanks.

    :cornut: Yes. I got the little 2in stubby during a 'sale' at Alta some years ago. My reception wasn't affected at all. I listen to FM stations 70-90mi away in the Dallas/Ft Worth metroplex no problem.Plus the Alta name adds 3hp(Tee Hee):Thumbsup:

    My 6" stubby (sorry for the subliminal pun) works just fine. Johngo's right though...

    I replaced my original antenna with the factory stubby antenna-absolutely no change in performance in town or rural areas.

    I bought mine from miniconcarne, it was the first mod I ever made :D I believe he sells these onces in awhile for a very reasonable price.
