As long as you are in an area with good signal strength, they are fine. Get out into the "sticks" and the shorties definitely fall ... ahem..."short".![]()

I saw a picture of a MINI with just a button Allen screw where the antennae screws in, it looked nice, and cheap too! They said it didn't hurt the reception.

Actually, the radio has never been on in RDNZL, only listen to iPod so when they say size doesn't matter..... -
for $4 at your local dodge dealership you can get an antenna thats half the size of the stock one. part no. is 5064253AB

Good call. Do you think the gauge matters? I was thinking I would solder one end of the wire to the antenna base and just terminated the far end. How much difference do you think it would have having wire on a stubby?
