So every morning I go to start my R53 it starts strong and then sputters for a few seconds like its going to give out on me but then it shoots up to a little over 1,000 rpms and idles there for a minute or so. Then, no other problems through out the day. Is this something I should be concerned about?
That sure does not sound normal to me. My MINI has never done that. Have you checked for any stored codes?
